Our school went down Omaru Stream When we went to see Omaru stream. I was in shock because it is blocked with alcohol bottles and spray cans and other stuff which causes the stream to stop moving.
As you see the stream right now it looks black and there are trees in the stream. Before the stream looked nice and fresh but now it is probably not even a stream!
It needs a lot of help from the community because we are the ones that made the steam unhealthy and now people don’t even want to look at it.
We are trying to clear everything out of the stream so it can be clean and so the people can swim inside it. We are trying to take all the rubbish out because it is clogging the stream.
